Display Case Counter Frequently Asked Questions
What is a display case counter used for?
A display case counter is designed to securely showcase valuable items such as museum artefacts, jewellery, watches, collectables, retail products, and luxury merchandise while maintaining a clean and professional presentation.
What are the benefits of UV-protected display cases?
UV-protected display cases help safeguard sensitive objects from the damaging effects of ultraviolet (UV) light exposure. UV radiation from natural daylight and artificial lighting can cause irreversible fading, discolouration, weakening, and deterioration of materials over time, making UV protection essential for museums, galleries, archives, and luxury displays.
What are the benefits of humidity-controlled display cases?
Humidity-controlled display cases help protect sensitive objects from damage caused by fluctuations in moisture levels within the air. They are commonly used in museums, galleries, archives, and conservation environments to preserve valuable artefacts, documents, textiles, metals, wood, and organic materials over long periods.
What is low iron glass?
Low iron glass is a premium ultra-clear glass with reduced iron content, designed to provide significantly higher clarity than standard glass. By minimising the natural green tint commonly found in regular glazing, low iron glass delivers a cleaner, more colour-accurate view of displayed objects.
This makes it particularly well suited for museums, galleries, jewellery displays, luxury retail environments, and conservation showcases where presentation quality and visibility are essential.
Can this display case be used for conservation-grade displays?
Yes, with the optional UV-protection glazing and humidity control capsules, the display case is suitable for conservation-conscious display applications.
Does the display case require clearance behind it?
Yes, a minimum clearance of 200mm behind the cabinet is required to allow the top to fully open.
Can this display case be used for jewellery displays?
Yes, the cabinet is highly suitable for jewellery and luxury product presentation thanks to its premium finishes, secure locking system, and clear low iron glass.
