Ceiling to Counter Rod System Sneeze Screen Description:
Our customisable Ceiling-to-Counter Rod Display Sneeze Screens provide unparalleled protection against airborne germs while maintaining clear, unobstructed visibility. Perfect for a wide range of environments, including bars, restaurants, leisure centres, surgeries, reception areas, nail salons, banks and post offices, these sleek acrylic Sneeze Guards seamlessly blend functionality with style.
Designed to safeguard both workers and customers, these protective screens are highly valued for their versatility, durability and ease of use. The panels adjust freely along the rod system, allowing you to set the ideal height for your counter, workspace or service area. Supplied without cut-outs as standard, they create a continuous protective barrier; however, if you require cut-outs for serving or transactions, our team can provide you with a bespoke quotation.
Installing the Sneeze Screen:
Installing these screens is straightforward and efficient. Each panel comes with two pre-drilled holes on either side for secure attachment to the rods, which are fixed to the ceiling or pelmet with screws and to the counter with double-sided tape. When multiple screens share a rod, they are staggered with one attaching to the front of the rod and one to the rear with a 40mm overlap for complete coverage. For example, the 2 screen kit will consist of 2 x 1m screens and 3 rods, the 2 screens will overlap on the middle rod by 40mm so the overall size will be 1960mm wide. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is a ceiling to counter sneeze screen used for?
A: Businesses use ceiling to counter sneeze screens to reduce the spread of airborne germs between staff and customers while keeping counters open and visible. They’re commonly installed at tills, reception desks, service counters and workstations where face-to-face interaction takes place.
Q: Where are ceiling-mounted sneeze screens most effective?
A: These screens work best in environments with fixed counters and regular customer interaction, such as restaurants, bars, salons, medical practices, banks and reception areas. The ceiling-to-counter design provides full-height protection without taking up valuable counter space.
Q: How do ceiling to counter sneeze screens compare to counter-mounted screens?
A: Ceiling-mounted systems offer wider, more consistent coverage than freestanding counter screens. By fixing panels from ceiling to counter, they reduce gaps, improve stability and create a cleaner, more permanent solution for busy commercial spaces.
Q: Can sneeze screens be customised to fit different counter widths?
A: Yes. Modular panel sizes and overlapping installation allow the system to span small counters or long service areas. Businesses can choose single or multiple panels to achieve full coverage without compromising the layout of their space.
Q: Will a clear acrylic sneeze screen affect customer interaction?
A: No. Transparent acrylic maintains clear sightlines and natural communication while still providing a physical barrier. Customers and staff can interact comfortably without the screen feeling intrusive or closed off.
Q: Are ceiling to counter sneeze screens suitable for high-traffic environments?
A: Yes. The rigid rod system and durable acrylic panels are designed for everyday commercial use, making them ideal for busy locations where stability, hygiene and long-term performance matter.
Q: How easy are these sneeze screens to install in an existing space?
A: Installation is straightforward and does not require structural changes. The rods fix to the ceiling or pelmet and secure to the counter, while pre-drilled panels slot neatly into place, allowing businesses to upgrade protection with minimal disruption.
Q: How do sneeze screens support hygiene and safety standards?
A: By creating a physical barrier between people, sneeze screens help reduce cross-contamination at service points. The smooth acrylic surface also wipes clean quickly, supporting daily hygiene routines and compliance with workplace safety expectations.
